Productivity Apps For The iPad - They Do Exist
So after all the hype of the iPad in recent posts, I eventually managed to get my hands on one. I'm not going to attempt to review it in this post as there is so much to cover, and others have done a far more comprehensive job of this. What I will say though, is that if you thought that the iPad was a device only good for watching video, viewing pics and reading news via apps or browser, then you are horribly wrong.
Its early days yet, but there are already a number of very useful "productivity" apps available for this marvel device. One such application, which I had the pleasure of putting to good use recently, is an app called iThoughts HD. Its essentially a mind mapping application that allows one to tap, type, drag, pinch and squeeze notes and ideas into a structured map of thoughts. Its not quite Minority Report stuff yet, but when you use it for the first time, it comes close. (Note, I only speak for the iPad app here. There is an iPhone version, but I have not tried it out yet).
Check this out (ignore the mouse in the demo video - this should actually your finger)...
